Theresa A. Blake
Theresa “Reese” Blake has chosen to dedicate her career to the practice of family law. Theresa has been on both sides of the attorney/client relationship and knows the confusion, needs, and concerns of a client as well as the advocacy needed by an attorney to support her clients.
Theresa has an entrepreneurial small business owner background that allows her to understand and recognize the importance of positive and trusting relationships with her clients, other attorneys, court staff, and the greater community. Her small business background also gives her a unique perspective to assist other small business owners in the divorce process. Theresa received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of North Texas. Then, she went straight to law school at Texas A&M University School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctor in 2016. In law school, Theresa received extensive training in both mediation practice and trial advocacy, equipping her with skills of persuasion in both the negotiation process as well as the courtroom. Where some attorneys prefer one over the other, Theresa is as comfortable and confident in the courtroom as she is around the mediation table. Active in politics since 2008, Theresa has served as president of the Denton County Young Republicans, Precinct Chair for the Denton County Republican Party, and worked on many political campaigns. She is also active with the Denton County Young Lawyers Association. Theresa has been married to her husband Tim for 15 years, together they have four children, two cats, and a dog. Theresa loves all baseball, whether it is her children playing or her Texas Rangers. To Theresa, it’s either baseball season or the countdown to baseball season, thankfully the former is longer.
